The Onondaga County Board of Elections Announces Training Seminars
for this year's Elections
The Onondaga County Board of Elections is pleased to announce training seminars for the 2018 General Election season. These non-partisan seminars are an attempt to inform the public and help them navigate the ever changing election landscape. We have three types of informational seminars we are offering to the public.
Getting on the Ballot Seminar May 30th 2pm
The staff of the Board of Elections and Commissioners Dustin M. Czarny and Michele L. Sardo will hold a seminar regarding getting on the ballot in Onondaga County. All potential candidates and campaigns are invited. The Board will go over the difference in petitions vs. caucuses as well as the signature requirements and deadlines for offices on the ballot for 2018.
Petition Challenges & Defense Seminar July 2nd 2pm
The staff of the Board of Elections and Commissioners Dustin M. Czarny and Michele L. Sardo will hold a seminar regarding the petition challenge process at the Onondaga County Board of Elections. All campaigns and party representatives are invited to attend. We will go over the requirements for petition challenges and challenge defense to create an orderly process for the Board of Elections to review all challenges.
Poll Watcher Seminars
June 20th 2pm for Federal Primary
September 6th 2pm for Local Primary (if needed)
October 30th 2pm for General Election
The staff of the Board of Elections and Commissioners Dustin M. Czarny and Michele L. Sardo will hold a seminar regarding poll watching for all elections. All candidates, campaigns, and parties involved in the relevant election are invited to attend. The Board will go over the proper poll watcher procedures.
